Hello, I'm Caleb McDermott

Hello! My name is Caleb McDermott. I am a Chicago-based Product photographer who has most of my experience in commercial and other studio work. I chose photography because I wanted to ensure that my memories can be captured and seen by all my loved ones, so why not share it with the world? My approach differs based on the style of work, but I love candid photos more than anything. Capturing raw moments is what I excel at. My biggest passion besides photography is music, so the best thing I have learned to do is to find a new CD from a shop and try it out while editing! I have been doing photography for 5 years, but I hope to refine my skills as I grow. Contact me for any visions you have!

My photography is special to me because I am in control of what I do. I may not have all the answers, but the process of finding them is what makes it enjoyable and unique. My focus is product/studio work but as I continue to work, I strive to further my knowledge as well. In doing many unique styles of photography, it was hard for me to pick a “core value,” so I chose something my boss once said. “You cannot succeed without learning more yourself,” that is my goal with my work. I aim to produce the best work while also being able to take away new skills to use repeatedly.

I am interested in commercial/studio work! Unfortunately, I could not get the full studio experience with my college due to a strike and my schedule. However, this has only further developed my admiration for the studio and the environment it has during a shoot. I am open to all types of shoots! From niche to popular, I am down if the specifics are discussed and conveyed well.

I offer a range of photography services to meet your needs, from portrait sessions to event coverage. My pricing is competitive and reflects the quality and time invested in each project.

Rates are for the whole shoot + editing, not hourly. Prices may vary on workload/project intent. Contact me for a quote!
